Get to know our logo
Our logo features violet flowers. The Hudson Valley was known as the “violet capital of the world” in the late 1800s and early 1900s because it supplied about a quarter of the nation’s violets.
Violets are not only beautiful but biologically fascinating. In addition to their above-ground blooms, they produce cleistogamous flowers, or self-pollinating blossoms that grow underground. These hidden flowers reflect the our belief in the human body’s innate ability to heal when given the right care and conditions.
These hidden blossoms also symbolize our deep, often unconscious need to connect with the natural world. The root system in the logo reflects this bond, illustrating not only our reliance on nature but our inseparability from it, woven into its ecosystems, part of its rhythms, and grounded in its presence.
